BECOME AN OGC COACH IN TRAINING (CIT)
The CIT program introduces you to the various aspects of coaching gymnastics and prepares you for entry into the “Foundations 1” component of the GCG National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). The program consists of weekly tutorials and includes individual study, mentorship and hands-on coaching experience, under the supervision of a Tutor Coach. You will be assisting a certified coach with programs from the OGC Recreational Program Level System for children aged 6-8.
CIT Program
ü Attendance and Participation in 10 tutorials
ü 25 hours of Assistant Coaching
ü 15 hours of “Gymming” time (CIT remains an active gymnastic participant)
ü Volunteering in one OGC Event/Meet/Gym Function
ü Plan and animate a warm-up and warm-down activity during a class
ü Plan and present exercises, stations and/or circuit for a rotation during a class
Note:
1. All practical hours must be completed prior to enrollment in the Gymnastics Foundations Introduction Course.
2. 13 year old CITs must complete the program over two full training years. 14-15 year old CITs have the option of completing the program in one or two training years.
